MUSHIN Guide is operated by MUSHIN. This policy explains what data the site handles when you visit and how it is used.
The short version
The public Guide has no visitor accounts and carries no advertising. It uses self-hosted, first-party analytics to understand page use and keeps standard server logs for reliability and security. Visitor data is not sold.
What the site collects
The analytics system records page paths, referrers, search activity, device and browser information, engagement duration, and a visitor identifier. IP addresses are truncated before they are salted and hashed. Optional country, region, or city information is derived locally when the GeoIP database is installed. The web server also keeps standard access logs that may include an IP address, user agent, requested page, timestamp, and referrer.
Cookies
The visitor identifier is normally stored in a first-party cookie for up to one year. If that cookie is unavailable, the analytics script uses local browser storage. If neither storage option is available, it derives a limited identifier from basic browser properties so page events can be grouped. This fallback is not designed to identify a person. A separate opt-out cookie disables analytics when present. Theme preferences use local browser storage, and the analytics session identifier uses session storage.
Services your browser contacts
jsDelivr currently serves the Turbo, Mermaid, and particles scripts used by the interface. Its network receives the normal request metadata needed to deliver those files. Fonts and the remaining application assets are self-hosted.
How long data is kept
Raw first-party analytics data is configured for a 90-day retention window before aggregation and cleanup. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for operations and security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of personal data. The Guide does not connect its analytics identifier to a public account or a known identity.
Children
The Guide is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect identifying data from children.
Changes to this policy
